Center's Fall Appeal Response Sets Donation Record

Our Center friends generously supported the cause during this past holiday season, setting a new donation record in the history of Center Fall Appeal campaigns!

All donations support our Audiology, Speech-Language and School Screening program clients. These St. Louisans of all ages might have gone without a hearing aid, without speech therapy to correct a disorder, or without a simple-- yet important-- hearing/vision screening, potentially leading to frustration, anxiety, a learning disorder, depression… if it wasn’t for you. You stepped up and made a donation to help these neighbors with their communication disorders!

All it takes is a little help from our friends. Thank you for being there for the children and adults who need our help!

Andee Wieselman Celebrates 24 Years with Center in February

Andee Wieselman

The Center would like to congratulate Andee Wieselman, who recently celebrated her 24th anniversary as a Center Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Thank you for all of your hard work, Andee!

Andee started her work as a full-time Center SLP right out of college in 1991. She switched to part-time in 2008 as her family expanded. She works primarily at the Center’s off-site locations, such as Affinia Health Care in St. Louis. She conducts evaluations, therapy and consultations with kids ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years.

Andee said what she likes best about her work at the Center is the diversity of clientele that she gets to serve. She enjoys going to the different service locations and working with a wide range of staff. She said keeping up-to-date on the latest therapy techniques keeps her on her toes, but the real challenge is “staying in the loop with the latest interests of all of the kids,” Andee mused.

Besides managing her busy family, Andee enjoys reading, gardening and outdoor activities.
