Center Receives $1,700 Donation from Optimist Club of Clayton

Thank you for the continuing generosity of the  Optimist Club of Clayton, which recently donated $1,700 to enable the Center to purchase much-needed program supplies for our Speech-Language Therapy Program. The supplies included an Apple iPad Air 2, a variety of speech therapy apps for the iPad, oral language assessment tests, a variety of educational toys to use with children in therapy, testing materials and software.

Last year, the Center served 339 clients in its Speech-Language Program, with the majority receiving their services at greatly reduced rates, or at no cost to their families. Children receiving financial assistance provided by funders such as the Optimist Club of Clayton received 2,733 individual therapy sessions. These programs enable them to achieve or progress to achieving age-appropriate speech-language skills.

With the financial support of organizations like the Optimist Club of Clayton, the Center was able to serve more than 15,000 people in our three programs: Audiology, Speech-Language and School Screening.
