Andee Wieselman Celebrates 24 Years with Center in February
The Center would like to congratulate Andee Wieselman, who recently celebrated her 24th anniversary as a Center Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Thank you for all of your hard work, Andee!
Andee started her work as a full-time Center SLP right out of college in 1991. She switched to part-time in 2008 as her family expanded. She works primarily at the Center’s off-site locations, such as Affinia Health Care in St. Louis. She conducts evaluations, therapy and consultations with kids ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years.
Andee said what she likes best about her work at the Center is the diversity of clientele that she gets to serve. She enjoys going to the different service locations and working with a wide range of staff. She said keeping up-to-date on the latest therapy techniques keeps her on her toes, but the real challenge is “staying in the loop with the latest interests of all of the kids,” Andee mused.
Besides managing her busy family, Andee enjoys reading, gardening and outdoor activities.
Founded in 1920 in St. Louis, the Center for Hearing & Speech is a 501(c) 3, non-profit organization and a proud member of the United Way, which provides major funding. The Center’s primary goal is to identify, treat and help St. Louisans with communications disorders by offering speech/language and audiology services to children and adults, regardless of whether they have insurance and/or financial resources to afford such care.
