Donate Generously For Center's Fall Donation Drive
For 95 years, Center for Hearing & Speech has brought the gift of hearing and speech to your St. Louis neighbors, co-workers, friends and family. As we approach the busy holiday season, the Center needs your gift to help it continue these services so that more children and adults get the help they need to hear well and to speak clearly!
Hearing and speech disabilities affect thousands of St. Louis children, working adults and senior citizens constantly, every day of the year. For some, the evaluations, therapy and hearing aids required to treat them are too expensive. That’s why it’s so important that the Center provides the following support each year:
· Financial support of basic hearing and vision screenings increases the ability of thousands of low-income St. Louis children to excel at school;
· Gifts of subsidized speech therapy give children with verbal communication disorders the chance to speak clearly and confidently alongside unaffected peers;
· And funding for hearing evaluations and the fittings of hearing aids help thousands of area children and adults to function in social and work environments.
This assistance helps financially-challenged St. Louisans of all ages living with communication disorders to reduce isolation, anxiety and depression. No one needs this stress at the holidays … or any time of year.
Know that the Center is the ONLY nonprofit agency in the St. Louis area serving individuals with hearing and speech disabilities of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay. AND WE NEED YOUR HELP AND SUPPORT NOW.
Know that your donations help kids like Steven.
Since receiving his first hearing aid four years ago when he was eight years of age, he has made huge steps in correcting not only his hearing ability but also his speech. He now says words that he couldn’t say or even understand through reading lips before being fitted with his aids. According to Steven’s mother, Clarissa, he can now communicate with and understand what is being said by family members, teachers and a growing group of friends.
“We love the Center,” Clarissa says, “We recommend it to anyone who has a child that has a hearing or speech problem. It has helped everyone in our family’s lives!”
The Center has specialized in improving the hearing and speaking of St. Louis residents for a lifetime. The need for hearing and speech support is increasing as the St. Louis population grows and grows older in age. Without funding from donors like you, more people will go without the help they need to become or continue to be active citizens.
Your donation TODAY is important. With your help, we can continue to assist more local residents overcome their communication disorder! Join us as we strive to provide speech and hearing help to every St. Louis resident who needs it. Make the Center’s goal your goal this year ... and HEAR US GROW!
