Center Thanks Barb Bristol, Celebrating 5 Years of Service as Industrial Office Assistant/Technician!

The Center would like to congratulate Barb Bristol in the Center’s Industrial Hearing Conservation (IHC) Department, who recently celebrated her five-year anniversary as Industrial Office Assistant/Technician. Thank you for all of your hard work, Barb!

The Center’s IHC program provides companies across the Midwest with mobile audiometric testing and reporting. Barb, a CAOHC-certified Audiometric Technician, assists her department in measuring the hearing loss of more than 25,000 employees annually. Barb works as the department’s office assistant, drives the Center’s mobile unit truck to client work sites and tests up to six employees simultaneously in 15-minute cycles.
The Center for Hearing & Speech is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that donates $1.75 million in speech/language and audiology services each year to residents of metropolitan St. Louis. CHS improves the quality of life for individuals with hearing and speech disorders by providing caring and high quality services, regardless of one’s ability to pay. The Center continually strives to address a greater portion of the unmet need relating to speech and audiology in the St. Louis region. It is a proud member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis and the Better Business Bureau.
